Acer Z520 Review

The Z520 has physically large battery but is only rated at 2000 mAh, enough to last you a day on moderate use of the phone. Having a dual-SIM slot is a plus, but will take a hit on the battery if both are activated for 3G connections.

The Acer Liquid Z520 was announced in March and released only this June. Its predecessor, the Z410, may have a slightly faster CPU, but barely a tad of difference if you check the specs. What is very noticeable, however, is that the Z520’s screen is about 11 percent bigger than the phone model that came before it. What it also may lack in screen resolution, it makes up for in camera resolution. The screen resolution may be at 480 x 854 pixels, which, along with its 5-inch screen may seem a bit pixelated to the trained and critical eye, but the camera’s 8-megapixel capacity surpassed that of the Z410, as it has only 5 MP camera. The front camera is also not very “selfie” friendly, as it is only capable of 2 MP, but many users often find that limitations like these are less important than its functionality, which is undeniable.
